A new look for Codes d’accès

The 2024-2025 season is marked by major new features, i.e. renewed colors and shapes as well as an improved online experience. After several months of work we’re happy⸱es to present the new look of Codes d’accès!

New visual identity

The new Codes d’accès logo is modern, balanced and accessible. *The asterisk* symbolizes each artist as a rising star in the field of new music. It also subtly evokes the hidden passwords, the “access codes”, embodying the idea that each musician traces his or her own path, while being an integral part of a dynamic, ever-evolving whole, a community.

The color orange is synonymous with creativity, energy and vitality. It reflects the innovative and passionate nature of Codes d’accès, as well as the freshness of the emerging talent represented by the organization. Combined with the color blue, these new elegant, playful and dynamic colors capture the innovative and vibrant spirit of new music, inviting exploration and discovery, while proudly representing emerging artists who are pushing the boundaries of sound creation.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mélissa Hamel of Oraculum Studio for designing our new visual identity. Having worked with Codes d’accès for nearly two years, she was able to capture the essence of the organization and create a new look that reflects Codes d’accès and its future directions.

Mélissa has been working in the art and culture world for several years now, juggling the roles of illustrator, art director, graphic designer and artist. She holds a degree in visual and media arts and another in graphic design from UQAM. To discover her work, we invite you to visit her website!

New website

Thanks to financial support from the Canada Council for the Arts, Codes d’accès was able to update its website. The main objectives were to optimize it to offer users a better online experience, and to adapt it to the organization’s new directions and future goals! We also wanted it to be a better calling card for Access Codes, to help us better promote up-and-coming new music artists to a wider audience.
